Morning Watch: Finale

This Finale follows after the demons have appeared and performed their comic interchanges with the Drummer. The Patient's link is finally severed from the demon that had been diagnosed by the Healer to be causing their ailment. The Patient directed by the Healer, makes their final offerings. Then seated in front of the clay picture of the demon e.g. Mahasona, to which the Healer has attached them with a white thread. the Healer, during recitation of the appropriate curing Mantra, cuts the thread thus breaking the demonic link and control. Laid in front of the clay picture are certain items such as coconuts and a piece of iron. These are to protect the Patient as demons fear iron. The Healer may also tie protective cords around the Patient's upper arms and neck.
