Diving Socorro / Cinematic Film 2023

We set off on a 24hr boat ride to the islands which is about 400 kilometers from the South West corner of Baja California Sur. The four islands of Socorro, Roca Partida, San benedict, and Clarion are called the Revillagigedo Islands. Because Socorro is the largest island and has the easiest name to pronounce, people just call them Socorro. The islands, towering in the middle of the Manganese Sea, have a rich ecosystem. It is a favorite place for large creatures, from various sharks to humpback whales. Our dive was full of tension and joy from start to end. Socorro has a primitive sea that could hardly be reached by humans. Mantas and dolphins, who are not afraid of humans, represented how much nature this place contains. We've become part of it for a while. Trying to frame everything in the camera was a struggle, but hopefully, you feel the scale of everything throughout this film.
