Originally released 1960 on His Master's Voice. Transferred from the LP Tchaikovsky Favourites which also included Marche Slave, Romeo and Juliet - Fantasy Overture, and Waltz from "The Sleeping Beauty" Ballet. Cannons - yes. Choir - no. Quirks - some clear edits, distant sound and far less engaging compared to stereo version, occasional noises, unusually brisk at points. Catalogue - XLP 20023 (this edition) 0:00 Start 2:17 Stray tap (much more prominent in stereo mix) 7:07 Edit?
