The Compact Art Studio | Transforming an Empty Corner Into a Complete Artist Studio

The Compact Art Studio is a small, compact artist studio created within an unused corner of the home. The project is a reflection on small spaces, slow living and the idea that a creative practice can exist almost anywhere. The studio was designed around the idea that meaningful art does not require a large or dedicated studio. The space is intentionally compact, practical and, of course, mobile. After several years away from painting, creating this studio became a way of returning to the foundations of the creative process by keeping materials close at hand. In this studio tour, I take you through how the space is organised, the materials I choose to keep on display and how a small corner of the home has become a dedicated place for making. A studio does not need to be large to be meaningful. Sometimes, a corner of a room is truly enough.
