My regulars (ha) may notice the slowdown in my stream and video production lately. I had my first taste of live performance in March 2026 and have been obsessed with it ever since. I've had the privilege of playing several gigs and I fall deeper in love with my craft every day, even over 20 years after starting this journey. Story time! This mix is a test run of my planned setlist for "Haha, I Forgot To Cancel The Rave: THE RAVE" at Wiggle Room in Toronto. The morning after I learned of this event I took a chance and asked the organizer whether there was an available slot for me. He accepted. I'm grateful to him and proud of myself. T-minus two weeks. Zero info on the party. Made assumptions. I slaved over a 140bpm mix. Good variety - techno, house, breakbeats, oldskool. A million adjustments. A million tweaks. Overflow songs in case of unplanned extension. Comfortable with it. The following week I went to the always incredible live recording of the ‪@ravealarm1792‬ show. ‪@KiraLoxx-j7b8x‬ and HEVAN.EXE were the guest DJs, playing a high-impact oldskool trancecore vinyl set. My eyes turned to spirals and my legs turned to jelly. I had the huge privilege of chatting with them both that night and Kira Loxx, who is on Friday's flyer, said she was probably playing around 170bpm. Pivot! Put together the following setlist, after much agonizing and adjustment. Decided to stream and test it out. Glad I did - a few changes were warranted, plus I had the privilege of being joined by dear friends, supporters, and an actual factual superstar. I took some notes and made some changes. I'm delaying publication of this video until after my set on Friday. Wiggle Room is the most "legit" venue I'll have played at yet. Excited, terrified, etc. If another video follows this one you'll know I survived. So, please enjoy this work in progress. I hope my fellow DJs can use constructive criticism to spot my mistakes and learning opportunities. Here's hoping Friday goes incrementally better. p.s., my show went great!
