Thunder Formation Warbird Display | Duxford Flying Finale 2026

Display by the "Thunder Formation" at the 2026 Duxford Flying Finale, first half consisting of the Hawker Fury FB.11, F8F Bearcat and P-47D Thunderbolt, the second half consisting of the Spitfire IX, P-51D Mustang and Spitfire FR.XIV. For the final act of this year's Duxford Flying Finale, a display was put together that consisted of six of the most iconic warbirds still airworthy. Finally making its season debut was the Fighter Collection's Hawker Fury FB.11 which flew alongside their F8F Bearcat and Fighter Aviation Engineering's P-47D Thunderbolt. The second formation was made up of the Old Flying Machine Company's Spitfire IX MH434, Marcin Kubrak's P-51D Mustang (Formerly owned by the Rolls-Royce Heritage Flight), and finally, Spitfire FR.XIV MV293, operated by Fighter Aviation Engineering.
