250 AMP Alternator Install Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, & Mitsubishi 3.7 & 4.7

How to Remove and Replace an Alternator on all 3.7L & 4.7L Chrysler engines. When installing a Hi Amp alternator you should also upgrade the battery positive cable lending to the alternator with a minimum 4 gauge cable, or at least double up the existing cable. I personally did not upgrade the cable size as the electrical requirements are not that much more than the stock alternator. I recently replaced the hydraulic cooling fan with an electric fan from a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 5.9L. The electric fan and the combination of a 25% underdrive pulley on the crankshaft I have been seeing voltage at idle below 12 volts. I was hoping that this alternator would increase the voltage but had a feeling that it wouldn't because it is an RPM issue, not an AMP issue. I will now be installing an overdrive pulley to correct the problem.
