Xerjoff Nio & Golden Dallah First Impressions

I recently picked up a sample pack from Xerjoff with my purchase of Italica and I am testing two of the fragrances today. Golden Dallah is a sweet coffee fragrance that is dominated by spices early in the fragrance. I got a touch of the oud in the opening, but it disappeared quickly. The incense starts to emerge after a few minutes, but is quite light and not very smokey. It's more like a smell I remember from burning incense as a kid, to be honest. There is quite a bit of sweetness in the air and even on skin, but the spices are much stronger on skin. This is quite a potent fragrance leaving a great deal of sillage in the air. The coffee in this one is slight and more in the background and reminds me more of a mocha or an espresso. Interesting and complex on first impressions, but maybe not what I was hoping for or looking for. Nio opens up very green. VERY GREEN. But is quite pleasant. I got a strong kick of the bergamot, which quickly transitioned into a nice tart/bitter accord with citrus, greeness, and freshness. The tartness reminds me of grapefruit quite a bit and I enjoy it a lot. This was exactly what I was expecting from this one and it's quite refreshing, uplifting, and enjoyable.
