On October 28, 1994, 23-year-old Stacy Falcon-Dewey and her 3-year-old son, Jacob Dewey, were found killed beside Stacy's car on a secluded road in Renton, Washington. For years, the case remained unsolved. Then DNA testing on evidence preserved from Stacy's autopsy identified Jerome Frank Jones in 2002. Investigators interviewed Jones, confirmed that he had lived at the same Kent apartment complex tied to Stacy and Jacob's final known movements, and submitted the case for a charging decision in 2004. But no charge followed. Stacy's mother, Vianne Falcon, continued asking authorities for answers without knowing investigators already had a named DNA match.
