Hewoo, I'm Myucchiwi but you can call me Myu! I'm a VTuber fairy trying to blend in the human world! I have developed a dysphony from voice overuse and repetitive lesions. Whenever I try to speak, my vocal chords start to hurt a lot, so most of my streams will be no mic until I get my voice back. I might talk a very little bit at the beginning of my streams (not all). I will do some updates in my streams whenever I have updates for it. 1st update: I went to my GP (General Practitioner & family doctor) and she told me due to my repetitive vocal chords lesions (mucus) I might have developed either: 1. a nodule (best case scenario, as it needs only medications, voice therapy and voice rest), 2. a polype (it's like a big growth that hardened and make the vibration of vocal chords harder) 3. a granuloma (which is a benign (non cancerous) tumour (growth)). Both polypes and granulomas require surgery to remove them. I will get the confirmation of exactly what I have in one month (around end of september 2026) when I will check with the ENT (eyes, nose and throat) doctor through a laryngoscopy (camera inside the larynx). So stay tuned for further updates!! 1st Update: I am seeing a voice therapist while waiting for my ENT apointment and I can speak again (for now). I will have to take some voice breaks during the stream for about 10 min per hour. 2nd Update: I went to the ENT doctor and I have a polyp on my right vocal cord, which normally requires a surgery. HOWEVER, my polyp is small and my ENT doctor said that it can be possible to remove or shrink that polyp to nothing with conservative treatment. What does it mean? It means that it can heal without using an invasive treatment (surgery), because my polyp is small and invasive treatment should be avoided if possible. The doctor gave me 2 months of voice therapy (allied health professionals who works with ENT doctors most of the time) + vocal cords hygiene (drinking water regurlarly, humidifier, no whisper, no throat clearing, lifestyle like managing acid reflux, and more) + vocal rest (resting my voice after talking for a period of time and so on). Also since I have huge allergies to basically everything, it also caused those lesions and/or at least triggered them faster. So now the plan is to seek an allergist doctor to deal with them asap (like a medicine to stop the allergy locally). If my voice isn't back fully to its power like before, and I'm still feeling some pain or feel uncomfortable and still have issues with hoarseness, then I will need to go under surgery to remove it completely. If you are curious about what my voice sounds like, you can check my videos prior to August 2026. I can link one for example here if needed (this is the stream where I strained my vocal chords so hard (near the end of it)): https://www.youtube.com/live/VUbKjGbH... Chat rules: 1. Be respectul 2.
