Follow Wyoming-based skiers Jr and Vanessa, whose love of the sport fuels their concerns for its culture and its future. As the children of immigrants, they fight to be included in a sporting community known for its exclusivity, while also confronting the urgent need for action and education around climate change. HOMEGROWN is a regional short film initiative presented by Firelight Media. Its third season, "Horizons," is a collection of short films from the Rocky Mountain region. Each film represents a specific cultural community within the vast expanse of the Mountain West, exploring issues of sovereignty, belonging, and community ownership.
