The World Intellectual Foundation, in collaboration with the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, convened a high-level Round Table on "India and the Emerging Global Order: From Strategic Autonomy to Global Responsibility". The deliberations brought together distinguished voices from the strategic, diplomatic, military, academic and policy communities to examine the profound shifts reshaping the international system. From the emergence of a more multipolar world and intensifying geopolitical competition, to evolving security architectures, technological disruption and changing global economic relationships — the discussion centered on one question: How can India safeguard its strategic autonomy while expanding its global influence, partnerships and responsibilities? The Round Table explored India's engagement with major powers, the evolving Indo-Pacific, emerging technologies, economic resilience, national security, and the larger responsibilities that accompany India's growing global role. 🎙️ Speakers: 1. Amb. Veena Sikri — the view from India's neighbourhood, and how the changing global order is playing out closer home 2. Lt. Gen. Raj Shukla (Retd.) — what strategic autonomy demands of India in building and posturing its capabilities 3. Amb. Shri Dammu Ravi — India's economic diplomacy and its partnerships, including with the Global South 4. Lt. Gen. D.P. Pandey (Retd.) — internal security and counter-insurgency, and how it underwrites India's broader strategic posture 5.
