October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, dedicated to raising awareness, promoting early detection, and encouraging women to prioritise their health.
In recognition of this important month, 𝗕𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗘 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, in collaboration with 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗶, 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶, has specially arranged this awareness podcast to educate and empower women with disabilities, particularly women with visual impairments, as well as women from the mainstream community.
Hosted by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘇𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝗲𝗲𝗺, a well-known social activist, this meaningful conversation features 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗳 (𝗠𝗕𝗕𝗦, 𝗗𝗼𝘄; 𝗙𝗖𝗣𝗦, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆), who shares valuable insights into breast cancer awareness, potential warning signs, the importance of timely medical consultation, and the role of health education in helping women make informed decisions.
Women with disabilities can face additional barriers in accessing health information and medical services. This initiative aims to promote inclusive health awareness and ensure that women, regardless of disability, have access to information that supports their health, dignity, and well-being.
