HUẾ in the rain | Cinematic Travel Film | Visit Vietnam 2026

The Nguyễn dynasty built Huế Imperial City in Central Vietnam in the early 19th century. Construction began in 1804 under Emperor Gia Long and was completed in 1832 under Emperor Minh Mạng. I filmed some scenes at the tombs of Emperor Khải Định and Emperor Tự Đức during a heavy rainstorm. I think the rain made the scenery look even more ethereal and memorable! Outside the Imperial Citadel walls, Huế is a bustling city with crazy motorbike traffic and street vendors! I also featured some of Huế’s most iconic landmarks, like the Perfume River (Sông Hương) and Tràng Tiền Bridge. Shot on iPhone at 4K@60fps. Edited with Microsoft Clipchamp Premium.
