United Imaging x UC Davis: Story behind the world’s first 2-meter total-body PET/CT

The uEXPLORER, the world's first total-body PET/CT, was introduced in 2019 as a collaboration between the University of California, Davis, and United Imaging. Dubbed the "Hubble Telescope" for its ability to capture higher-quality images of the entire body at a speed 40 times faster than conventional PET scans, this groundbreaking technology has since unlocked countless opportunities in both clinical and scientific research. This video tells the story of how the dream to build the world's first total-body PET/CT became a reality, through the successful collaboration between United Imaging and UC Davis, driven by a simple but powerful desire: our passion for change.
