A week after the Independence Day celebrations, another meaningful event was held in the same neighborhood to commemorate Maulid Nabi Muhammad. A large stage was prepared for hadroh performances and religious lectures, with the entire preparation taking place in a relatively short time. I witnessed many residents working together through gotong royong*, contributing food, funds, and their time to ensure that the event could be held successfully. Before the program began, various preparations were completed, including prayers for the smooth running of the event. People from different backgrounds and age groups came together to participate, seek blessings, and share the atmosphere of devotion through *hadroh performances and *shalawat*. One of the religious speakers was also my own uncle, making the occasion even more meaningful for my family. The celebration continued with two other Maulid events in different locations. The second gathering was held at my uncle’s house and was larger and more festive, featuring a more modern atmosphere, fireworks, and the presence of several community leaders and notable guests. The third celebration took place at a restaurant, where the event was held in a rented hall with a more modern setting and a variety of enjoyable dishes. The religious speaker at this gathering was also a respected figure.
