This episode captures one of the most intense and emotional phases of our Mount Elbrus expedition — the final acclimatization climb to Pastukhova Rocks (4700m / 15,100 ft) and the long, anxious wait before our summit push. Under perfect morning weather, we climbed steadily through the vast snowy slopes of the Caucasus Mountains to help our bodies adapt to the extreme altitude. But the mountain quickly reminded us who was in charge. On the descent, a hidden snow hole trapped my leg, creating a tense moment that could have ended the climb early. Back at the hut, we focused on recovery using massage therapy and compression gear to prepare our bodies for summit night. Soon after, the weather turned dramatically — bringing hail, lightning, and a terrifying storm that struck dangerously close to our team. As evening fell, we watched other climbers begin their summit attempts under a crystal-clear sky filled with stars. Emotions ran high — excitement, fear, anticipation — all building toward the biggest challenge ahead. The next day included final rope training, mental preparation, spiritual prayer for safe passage, and a difficult night battling altitude-related stomach sickness just hours before our summit attempt. This is a real and raw look into what high-altitude mountaineering truly feels like — unpredictable, beautiful, and deeply emotional. 🏔️ Expedition: Mount Elbrus (5642m) 🌍 Location: Caucasus Mountains, Russia 🎯 Goal: Seven Summits Journey 👉 Watch until the end to see how summit night begins.
