I'm a Pediatric Surgeon

By definition, a surgeon is someone who treats injuries or disorders of the body by incision or manipulation. Dr. Lee Smith describes his chosen profession a bit more thoughtfully – calling it a “scary privilege that causes intentional injury in order to improve something.” Every time he makes an incision on someone else’s child, he keeps this awesome responsibility top of mind, not only as a surgeon, but also as a father.
