The Battle of Santavuori

The Battle of Santavuori, fought on February 24, 1597, was the final major battle of Finland’s Cudgel War (Nuijasota). Ostrobothnian peasants rose against heavy taxes, military abuses and oppression, but faced the trained forces of Klaus Fleming. The rebellion ended in defeat, leaving a lasting mark on the history and memory of South Ostrobothnia. This song remembers the men who fought, the lives lost, and the land that still carries their story. #Santavuori #CudgelWar #Nuijasota #FinnishHistory #SouthOstrobothnia #Finland #HistoricalMusic #FolkMetal #NordicFolk #FinnishHeritage
