We spent the weekend camping off FR 226 near Munds Park, Arizona, surrounded by the ponderosa pines of Coconino National Forest. After a quiet night at camp, some breakfast, a little campsite cleanup, and one incredible Arizona sunset, it was time for the part of the trip we’d been looking forward to most — taking our 6th-gen Toyota 4Runner down Schnebly Hill Road for the very first time. We had never driven Schnebly Hill before, so we really didn’t know what to expect. The trail wasn’t overly technical, but the rocks, constant bumps, and risk of tire damage definitely kept us paying attention. And once the red rocks of Sedona started coming into view, we quickly realized why so many people make the drive. Was Schnebly Hill rough? Absolutely. Was it worth every bump? We think so. Come along with us for another weekend of camping, off-roading, and exploring Arizona in our 6th-gen 4Runner. “From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised.” — Psalm 113:3 If you enjoy 4Runner adventures, overlanding, camping, off-road trails, and exploring Arizona, consider subscribing and joining us on the next adventure. #SchneblyHill #Toyota4Runner #6thGen4Runner #Sedona #Overlanding #Camping #OffRoad #Arizona #TheMonroeAdventure
