Contemplating a visit to Universal Orlando and trying to decide where to stay? Well this video will be very helpful in your decision making process! The Endless Summer Resort is one of the cheapest onsite Universal hotels. Staying onsite at Universal is definitely beneficial for many reasons. It makes picking up your park tickets really easy and you get to take advantage of early admission to one of the parks. You also have access to the shuttle which runs every 10 minutes, so you don't have to worry about parking at the parks. I made this video so that I could show you the hotel and tell you about the pros/cons of staying here. In this video, I cover the following: 1. What the hotel looks like. You will see the lobby, the restaurant, the pool, and a bit of the surrounding area. 2. I share a lot of basic information about this resort like when it opened, who built it, and what the difference is between Surfside and Dockside. Surfside Inn and Suites opened in June of 2019. All Universal hotels are owned by Loews but managed by Universal. 3. I do a very thorough room tour so that you can see exactly what the 2 bedroom suite looks like. The room has some nice features like double sinks outside of the shower/toilet area and a small kitchen with a dining table. There isn't a ton of storage space, but the layout of the room is nice. There's a decent amount of space under the beds for suitcases. It isn't a huge room by any means, but it was definitely sufficient for my family of 6. The table was especially nice because we would eat breakfast together every morning before heading off to the parks. I feel like this helped save us quite a bit of time. 4. I do a complete walk through of the pool area and talk about the pool rules. Be aware that the pool will definitely close for inclement weather. Unfortunately we had to deal with that happening to us. The pool is beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing, but it doesn't have very many features or amenities. I think I would have enjoyed it more had there been a waterslide, diving board, and hot tub. 5. I do a complete walk through of the parking lot and talk about why I wasn't the biggest fan of the parking lot. I am not a fan of how far away the parking lot is from the rooms. It felt like a long walk to get to my car. I also don't like how you have to go outside to get to the parking lot. 6. I do a complete walk through of the restaurant and talk about the dining options. There is only one restaurant at Surfside in addition to a Starbucks. The food was just okay. 7. There are definitely pros and cons to staying at Endless Summer Resort, and I spend a big portion of this video going into detail about the pros and cons. The pros are: room was comfortable, the price, the water bottle filling stations, and the pool was nice. The cons are: location, distance to the parks, noise, and parking. 8. Because I have stayed at Cabana Bay (which is also an onsite Universal property located very close to Volcano Bay), I do a lot of comparing between Endless Summer Resort and Cabana Bay. I definitely liked my experience at Cabana Bay much better. The location of the hotel feels more insulated than the location of Endless Summer Resort. I heard a lot less noise at Cabana Bay and I think the surrounding area is quite a bit nicer. Cabana Bay also has more dining options and is closer to the parks. 9. If you look at a map of the Universal Parks, you will notice that Endless Summer Resort is located across the freeway. It really feels further away than some of the other hotels and I didn't like that feeling. 10. Even though Cabana Bay is a bit more expensive, I think it's well worth the extra money to stay there. I like the food choices, location, proximity to the parks, parking, and overall feel of the resort more. This video is video number 1 in my Universal Orlando series. I plan to post about 8-10 videos in this series. My goal is to help you plan ahead so that you can make the most of your time and maximize your theme park experiences. I just love Universal Orlando! Some of my favorite attractions reside there right now: Escape from Gringotts, Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, and Jurassic Park Water Ride just to name a few. It is such a fun place to visit and I like all the variety that it offers. If you have never been there, you must see it! Let me help you plan your visit there by keeping you informed on Youtube! Thank you so much for reading this description. I am not sure if anyone ever reads the entire thing!
