The Battle for Altea - Fire Emblem Mystery of the Emblem Book 1 Walkthrough Part 13

After the Archanean League's crushing defeat to Gharnef, they learned from Gotoh that he can only be killed with the Starlight tome. In order to forge Starlight, they would need to recover both the Lightsphere and Starsphere from the temple in Raman. Heading south, the Archanean League arrive in Altea, prepared to liberate the land. General Hollstadt of the Sable order prepares to hold the capital. Arran is not even a great replacement. Unlike the original where you could make an argument for his movement, he has to dismount in this game. His already low stats become even lower which will basically have him being doubled by every enemy. His growths are good around 30-50% but that will take some time to kick in with his late join. I only chose him since he seemed like the canonical choice and that I'm not gonna use either. Samson is a significantly better option. His 10 weapon level and 17 SPD will have him one-round most enemies. His growths are a bit lower though being around 10-50% to balance his higher stats. However, his 24 HP and 9 DEF will leave him on the more frail side. He can fight enemies, but as he won't be strong enough to one-hit, he'll take a lot of damage fast. He's good for engaging in single combat but he'll need a healer or some Vulneraries to keep healthy. Xane can be as good as you want him to be. Being able to transform into anyone can make him very valuable. Whether you wanted another Paladin up front or another Warp/Physic staff user, he can do it. Unlike the original though, he does not gain the HP from the user. This leaves his low 18 HP at risk of dying quickly as a frontline unit. If you use him, make sure to shoot a Seraph Robe or two his way. Also make sure to deploy him wisely and think about when and where to transform him over. Samson's recruitment: "I am Samson.
