I rode for about an hour from Ankara to Çubuk-1 Dam Recreation Area — just to enjoy a coffee by the water. This trip turned into more than just a motorcycle ride. I explored the area, learned about the history of Çubuk-1 Dam, set up my little coffee spot by the lake, and took some time to enjoy the road and the view. Built in 1936, Çubuk-1 Dam is an important part of Ankara's history and has since become a popular recreation area for locals. This is another small journey beyond the map.
