Turkish Airlines’ BEST Short-Haul Business Class? (A330 Review)

After arriving from Manila on Turkish's Boeing 777-300ER, I continue my journey to Europe. Before departure, I visit the Turkish Airlines Business Lounge, one of the largest lounges in the world. While it offers plenty of amenities and a wide range of food, I explain why I believe it could be much better designed for an airline of Turkish Airlines' stature. Then it's time for a long walk through the enormous Istanbul Airport before boarding our Airbus A330. Onboard, Turkish Airlines once again impresses with a fully flat Business Class seat, something still extremely rare on European routes. Combined with excellent catering and a professional crew, it makes for a very comfortable flight to Amsterdam. During this review, you'll see: ✈️ Istanbul Airport (IST) ✈️ Turkish Airlines Business Lounge ✈️ Airbus A330 Business Class cabin ✈️ Full-flat Business Class seat ✈️ Complete meal service ✈️ Inflight entertainment (IFE) ✈️ Cabin tour ✈️ Arrival at Amsterdam Schiphol For lunch, I started with a selection of cheeses, marinated olives, tomatoes and cucumber before enjoying a smoked turkey and cheese toast, surprisingly the highlight of the meal. The crew delivered excellent service throughout the flight, while the spacious full-flat seat made this one of the most comfortable Business Class experiences available within Europe. Unfortunately, the journey ended with one of the most chaotic baggage claim experiences I've ever witnessed. Due to severe congestion, passengers were literally organizing luggage themselves to keep the baggage belts moving. Definitely something I wasn't expecting at one of Europe's busiest airports. Overall, Turkish Airlines once again delivered a very solid Business Class experience, with only one real downside: the lounge still doesn't live up to the airline's onboard product.
