Parliament Committee Impressed by UPDF Hospital & Headquarters Progress

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces National Referral Hospital is operational, offering Specialised diagnostic services to both civilians and the military. The hospital is equipped with state of the art equipment capable of testing for and detecting different types of cancer. Defence Minister Kiryowa Kiwanuka says about 200 million shillings is required to establish cancer and heart treatment facilities. The Parliamentary Committee on Defence and Internal Affairs toured the hospital to assess the progress of the works. The committee also inspected ongoing works at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs headquarters in Mbuya where members were impressed by the progress.
