🚨Kureba amanota y'ibizamini bya Leta mwanyura kuri iyi "link": https://rne.sdms.gov.rw/ The Rwanda National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) officially released the 2025/2026 Primary Leaving Examination and Ordinary Level national examination results on 20 August 2026. This 31-minute Rwanda Updates video presents the ceremony in detail, including NESA’s explanation of how the national examinations were conducted, the overall performance of candidates and the recognition of the country’s highest-performing students. Rwego Mutijima Bruno Licky of École Internationale La Racine in Bugesera District emerged as Rwanda’s top-performing Primary Leaving Examination candidate after achieving an exceptional score of 99.6%. At Ordinary Level, two students jointly recorded the highest score of 98.7%: Uwamariya Leontine of ISF Nyamasheke and Musonga Isimbi Orah of FAWE Girls’ School. Musonga Isimbi Orah attended the results ceremony, while Uwamariya Leontine was reportedly unable to attend. A total of 13 outstanding students were recognised during the ceremony. They included seven top performers from primary schools and six from the Ordinary Level of secondary education. NESA Director General Dr Bernard Bahati explained the preparation and administration of the 2025/2026 national examinations and presented the candidates’ performance. Ordinary Level students achieved an overall pass rate of 85.70%, representing a major increase from 64% in the previous year. Male candidates recorded a pass rate of 89.8%, while female candidates achieved 82.63%. Kinyarwanda was reported as the subject in which the largest proportion of Ordinary Level candidates performed successfully compared with the other subjects.
