The Trona RailWay

This video is a total of 2 days worth of clips of the Trona Railway. This was my first time ever visiting the Trona Railway and oh boy was it awesome, I went there on December 29th having no clue when they ran during the day so I was hoping to get lucky and I sorta did. As I headed over the hill viewing Searle's, I saw them doing the switching job. So I got out, set up and started filming, I got about 4 video's when they went on by, stopped, and the crew got out and left in a truck, I headed over to Trona to check out the area and when I came back about an hour or 2 later, the SD40's, some being Tunnel Motors, were still there so we pulled over and waited about 30 minutes to another hour and nothin happened nor did the crew come back so I decided that they probably were done for the day so I headed home. I was gonna go to Cajon Pass the next day but decided to head back to Trona since even though I saw the ex SP SD40's run for a short amount of time, I thought of heading back there but leaving earlier in the morning. I got to Searles around 8:00am and noticed the SD40's weren't there, I headed over to Trona and saw them doing some switching at one of the factories. I headed over to one of the very few crossings there are along the route and waited for a bit when they made their way over. After they passed they did some more switching in the factory. About 30 minutes later I saw them in the distance behind the factory looking like they were leaving, I quickly went back to the crossing since I was getting snacks at a food mart and got another video, and since they were keeping such a slow speed as I thought they would. I managed to get 3 videos in about 4-5 miles before they went behind the hills where I couldn't really get to. I waited at another crossing near Searles, I waited about 10 minutes before they came and then I headed to Searles and they finished there job for the day switching out some cars for UP to come in and take towards Mojave since Searles is the Interchange between the 2 companies.
