青春の影 - Oboe Instrumental

青春の影 ("Shadow of Youth"), is a song by famous Japanese band チューリップ (Tulip). The song, when released in 1974, was a stark departure from the catchy pop-rock genre of songs the band was known for. This is my first cover of a song by Tulip. I chose the oboe as the solo voice. I am using its naturally melancholic timbre to capture the theme of the song - one of bittersweet resignation of letting go of youth to step into the quiet shadows of commitment. Hope you will like it.
