Welcome back to the cluster swap series for TheDirtVan! In Part 1, we handled the teardown and prep. Now, we’re diving into the most critical and detailed part of the project: the wiring. Swapping an F250/F350 cluster into an E350 isn’t exactly "plug and play." In this video, I’m breaking down the wiring schematics you need to know to get your factory tachometer, oil pressure, and coolant temp gauges working perfectly. We’ll be repinning connectors and ensuring everything is mapped correctly for the 7.3L Power Stroke. What we cover in this video: Comparison of the E350 vs. F250 cluster wiring pinouts. Step-by-step guide to repinning the factory connectors. How to wire the tachometer signal for the diesel engine. Tips for a clean, factory-style wiring job to avoid future gremlins. Wiring can be intimidating, but I’m showing you exactly how I did it to make your swap as smooth as possible. If you’re following along with your own build, make sure to take your time with these connections! Stay tuned for Part 3, where we finish the physical installation and see the new dash in action!
