Make Things Fly - Project: A 1930's Paper Hot Air Balloon, Design by Ray Morse

For this project I build and fly a 1930's style paper hot air balloon using a design in Ray Morse's book, How to Make and Fly Model Hot-Air Balloons. After using my thermal inflator to launch the balloon, I walk through the process of how they are made. This is a very low cost project (the poster board for the template, colored tissue paper, and tape all were purchased at a local dollar store) which was really fun to fly. If you are looking for a easy project for yourself, family or for school, I highly recommend these hot air balloon projects in Ray Mores's book.
