Sacramento Light Rail Compilation of December 2024

Merry Christmas! Monthly compilation video of Sacramebto Regional Transit light rail trains I filmed while out. In last months video on Nov, SACRT expanded the range of the stations low floor announcements to provide more time for handycap passengers to make their way from the ramp to the low floor train platform. They also started testing trains between Iron Point and Historic Folsom a couple of weekends. In Dec 2024, SACRT started operator trainer test trains on Dec 16th - 18th, 2024 running trains in simulated service with inservice trains turning out of service and running east of Iron Point to Historic Folsom and back returning in service at Iron Point. Also, cars SACRT 413 & 419 finally entered service now raising the in service Siemens S700 low floor cars from 16 to 18 low floor cars. SACRT 418 & 420 are still having extended testing before put in service. I thought I seen 418 but apparently I didn't. Cars 413, 418, 419, and 420 needed extended testing and could't enter service when the rest did back on Sep 1, 2 of that 4 are now added into service. Also late Dec, SACRT changed the announcements voice from a male to a femals voice to accomodate the neighborhoods near stations that were complaining about announcement noise but this didn't make it i to this video as it was changed over right after I had made this compiation.
