The Most Played Song of Every Year in the 1950s | Rock Classics

#rock #rocklegends #1950smusic The most played song of every year in the 1950s — one track per year, 1950 through 1959, and the true story behind each one. This is where rock and roll was born, before it even had a name. A busted amplifier stuffed with newspaper that accidentally created the first distorted guitar tone ever recorded. Lyrics too filthy to release, rewritten in a hallway in fifteen minutes. A forgotten B-side rescued by a thirteen-year-old's record collection. A gold tooth cap swallowed mid-scene. And a Chuck Berry riff currently traveling through interstellar space at 38,000 miles per hour. Featuring Fats Domino, Jackie Brenston and Ike Turner, Lloyd Price, Bill Haley and His Comets, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and Paul Anka. Every fact in this video is sourced and verified. No myths, no filler, no recycled internet trivia. Which one still takes you straight back the moment it starts?
