Cliffe Knechtle Stories To Fall Asleep To | Joy Comes In The Morning

Two hours of Cliffe Knechtle, gathered for one kind of night: the one where you can't remember the last time you felt real joy, and you've quietly stopped expecting it to come back. These are moments from Sunday sermons at Grace Community Church in New Canaan, Connecticut. Cliffe talks about why chasing happiness empties a life, why the joy you aim at always slips away, and how it surprises you instead. Midway through, an old Irishman skips down a beach at sunrise with tears on his face, saying "Ah, me father is very fond of me." From there on, it is only rest. If you are awake at two in the morning, you don't have to do anything with this. Just let it play. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
