150th Ponca Tribal Celebration

In a little less than two weeks, the 150th Annual Ponca Celebration kicks off with week-long activities and people from all across Indian Country descending upon historic White Eagle Park. In celebrating our 150th year, we also mark the 100th Anniversary of crowning a World Champion Fancy Dancer, an honor won all the way back in 1926 by Augustus Hurley McDonald. Considering the special year, the Celebration Committee commissioned a documentary on our yearly celebration and sat down with multiple elders, all over the age of seventy, to provide a historical account of our yearly doings.
