Some days are all about survival, commitment and learning the hard way. On October 24, the North Sea showed its raw power. Big waves, strong side-offshore winds and a challenging shorebreak made getting through the waves a real battle. Every attempt to get out was a challenge, and coming back in wasn’t much easier. The conditions were rough, unpredictable and demanding. And just when you think you’ve got things under control… SNAP! A broken mast. Not exactly the session I planned, but definitely one too remember. Because that’s windsurfing. Sometimes you score the ride of your life, sometimes you get completely humbled by the northsea.
