We Risked the Rohtang Pass in Heavy Rain! 😱 | Was it Worth It with Family? Epic Views | Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of our First Family Travel Series on @JasSayin88! 🏔️🚗 After continuous heavy rainfall and snowfall warnings across the higher ridges since yesterday evening, we were completely uncertain if the road to Rohtang Pass would even be open. Despite the weather warnings and local reports of roadblocks, we decided to take the calculated risk in our Mahindra Thar Roxx and push up towards the mighty pass! The drive turned out to be an intense, high-altitude adventure: navigating steep cliffside curves, crossing active landslide patches, witnessing massive herds of mountain sheep, and braving near-zero visibility fog through Marhi. Against the odds, we finally reached the iconic Rohtang Pass summit at 13,058 feet! While there was no thick fresh snow on the pass itself, we were welcomed by freezing 2°C temperatures, icy winds, and a sudden light hailstorm. To warm up, we feasted on piping hot roadside roasted bhutta (chhali) inside the car, captured memories at the legendary BRO Rohtang signboard, and completed the full loop back to Manali via Koksar and the Atal Tunnel before ending the day with a cozy dinner at Chopsticks on Mall Road.
