Session 6 - What is God Saying in Dreams (Book 3, Part 2)

What do you do when a dream seems significant—but the meaning is not immediately clear? In Session 6 of the Hearing God Through Dreams series, we complete Book Three: How to Interpret Your Dreams by exploring the final six principles of biblical dream interpretation: confirmation, patience, timing, repetition and the posture of receiving revelation. This session moves us from simply asking “What does this dream mean?” to learning how to wait, test, recognise confirmation and respond wisely. In this session, we explore: 🔹 Confirmation Precedes Action — why the strength of your own conviction is not itself confirmation. 🔹 Confirmation Comes Through Many Voices — how Scripture, prophetic words, circumstances, other dreams and independent witnesses may help establish what God is saying. 🔹 Understanding Comes in God's Timing — learning to hold an unresolved dream without forcing an interpretation. 🔹 Timing Is Part of the Message — recognising that a dream's fulfilment may belong to a different season than the moment in which it is received. 🔹 Repetition Signals Emphasis — understanding why God may repeat a dream, vision or message. 🔹 Sleep Is the Posture of Revelation — learning to approach interpretation with the same surrender and dependence with which the revelation was received. THE CAPSTONE: PETER'S ROOFTOP VISION We bring all 15 principles of interpretation together through Peter's vision in Acts 10. Peter receives the vision, is perplexed by it, waits, encounters circumstances that illuminate it, receives confirmation from another direction—and ultimately responds. The goal is not to create a rigid formula for interpreting dreams.
