Real Japanese Countryside

何年も前のこと、バイク仲間の友人と私は、人里離れた山の中で道に迷ってしまいました。すると、その丘の上に住む88歳の女性が私たちを見かけ、お茶とおやつでもてなしてくれたのです。その女性は癌を患っていましたが、本当に素敵な方でした。 その後5年間で2回引っ越しをしたため、残念ながら彼女の住所を忘れてしまっていました。それでも幸いなことに、「あの山奥」にある彼女の家を突き止めることができました。私は深夜に起き出し、スクーターで彼女の家へと向かい、朝6時頃に到着しました。お礼がしたかったので、途中で緑茶とおにぎりを買って持参したのです。あいにく彼女の姿は見えなかったので6時45分にはその場を離れましたが、朝買っておいた緑茶とおにぎりは郵便受けに入れておきました。あの「親切な女性」が、今も元気に過ごされていることを心から願っています。🙏 Years ago we lost our way out in the mountains far away from everything. An 88 year old woman who lived up the Hill saw us and invited us to an Green Tea & a snack. The woman had cancer. She was so sweet ! Unfortunately I forgot her address, since I moved 2 times in the last 5 years. Luckily I was able to figure out her place ‚out there in the Jungle-Mountain‘. I got up at midnight, … left for her place on my scooter (Mist and slight Rain) and arrived about AM 6:00 at her place. Before that I bought some green Tea and Onigiri, since I wanted to return the favor. Unfortunately she did not show her face outside so I left at AM 6:45; BUT I left the Green Tea and Onigiri which I bought in the morning inside her MailBox.
