Lance Bass Reveals How Little *NSYNC Paid Him: Just $35 a Day While Working for Free

Lance Bass says his years in *NSYNC brought worldwide success but surprisingly little money for the band members themselves. In a recent appearance on The Zach Sang Show, the singer revealed that despite the group’s No. 1 albums and sold-out tours, their first paycheck was just $10,000. Speaking on the Thursday, October 8, episode, Bass, 47, recalled receiving a daily allowance of $35 while performing with the group. He said the band worked for years before receiving that first check, despite generating substantial revenue from merchandise. According to Bass, they were even told they should appreciate the payment because they had essentially been working without pay for two or three years.
