From the LP you see above, "A Treasury of Grand Opera in High Fidelity," issued in 1957 on the RCA Victor label, serial number LM 1847. Tullio Serafin conducts the Milan Symphony Orchestra. I believe this performance (which dates originally to 1952) was re-recorded for this LP release. So there is no question in the mind of the listener about the provenance of this recording, I rely principally on images from the LP and LP jacket to validate the authenticity of historical performances such as this.
