When You Don’t Know If You Should Stay or Let Go

When you do not know if you should stay or let go, the hardest part may be that both choices seem to have a cost. This prayer for guidance is for anyone facing an important decision about a relationship, job, opportunity, move, family situation, or season of life. Through Scripture and prayer, we look at how God can give wisdom when the future is still unclear. A difficult choice is not always a wrong choice. Quick relief is not always peace. Staying can come from fear, and an ending does not always mean failure. God can bring important facts to your attention, use wise counsel, uncover patterns, slow you down when pressure is rushing you, and give courage when enough has become clear. This message draws from Proverbs 3:5–6, Psalm 119:105, James 1:5, John 14:27, Ecclesiastes 3, Psalm 32:8, and Proverbs 16. Bring the decision before God.
