We were helping clean up properties around town, and I ended up helping with her overgrown yard. Before I left, I told her I’d come back one day and help her again. A few years passed, and unfortunately, I never made it back. Recently, I came across her property again. It was severely overgrown and looked like it had been abandoned, so we decided to jump in and clean it up. What I didn’t know was that the woman I had met years earlier had passed away. While we were working, her son showed up and told us what had happened. He had lost both of his parents within just a few years of each other and had been dealing with everything surrounding the property since his mom passed. I really wish I would have made it back while she was still here, but I’m thankful we had the opportunity to come back and finish what I started. Sometimes you never really know what someone is going through or how much something as simple as cleaning up a yard can mean to them. Thanks for watching and supporting what we do.
