Sforzando is a free MIDI app for Windows and Mac that works well with WARBL. It can play the WARBL SoundFont file that is available on the WARBL web site: https://warbl.xyz/phpbb/viewtopic.php.... **Update 10/22**: The above SoundFont now also includes uilleann pipes, flute, highland pipes, and Scottish smallpipes in addition to tin whistle. This video is a guide to setting it up. Sforzando can be downloaded here: https://plogue.com/downloads.html#sfo... Additional notes about latency: Having low latency will completely transform the experience of playing fast tunes with WARBL. If you experiencing any noticeable latency on a Windows machine, I highly recommend taking measures to eliminate it. At a minimum, select WASAPI as the Audio device API in the Sforzando preferences, and then set the buffer size as low as possible without adversely affecting the sound quality. Even better is installing ASIO4All, which is free, easy to install, and will likely reduce latency even more. After installing it, select it as the Audio device API in Sforzando. Then, open ASIO4All from the “hidden icons” menu at the bottom right of your screen, and set the buffer size as low as possible. If the sound quality suffers, increase the buffer size a bit. Another option if you continue to have latency issues is to install a high quality ASIO sound card on your Windows machine.
