solo gallivanting in SINGAPORE ✌🏼

HELLO! 👋🏼🇸🇬 So... I wasn't supposed to end up in Singapore. I just had some free days after Vietnam to hop somewhere else in Asia since I was flying standby home. (Yes, I am lucky/grateful to have these benefits but like every standby trip, they don't always go as planned) 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🪾 Supertree Observatory: FREE FREE FREE. If you didn't already know, the supertree observatory grounds is FREE 🥹 I learnt that the hard way when I walked into a ginormous exhibit of dinosaurs (no hate, I LOVE dinosaurs 🫶🏻🦕🦖) I obviously did not do enough research and that's how I ended up spending $40 🥲 However, you do have to pay to go on top of the actual supertrees if you choose to. 👕 Lucky Plaza: MABUHAY 🇵🇭 I want to say 99%, if not 100%, of all the stalls in this building was Filipino/Filipino owned. I just thought it was funny because I was only following a TikTok that led me to this place for thrift shopping! No complaints, it felt very safe for me in there since I was with my kin 😎 I definitely will be coming back and dedicate an ENTIRE DAY here. The thrift stores were insanely packed with endless clothing, ukay ukay for real. If you are looking for curated pieces you proabably won't find them here, although I was too overwhlemed to keep digging through, so don't listen to me 🙂‍↕️ 🐓 Maxwell Food Centre: one of the most reviewed hawker centres on google and it was one of the "closest" ones from the airport-ish. Highlights were the Hainanese chicken rice & the water chestnut drink. Laksa could have been better. Everything was decently priced, there were a lot of stalls that sold cheaper items compared to others.
