What Shelter Workers Wish You Knew | Officer Emily Hampton, Butts County Animal Services

What really happens inside an animal shelter? I sat down with Officer Emily Hampton, Lead Officer at Butts County Animal Services, to talk about the myths, the hard days, and what every dog owner and future adopter should know. We talk about why "they'll get adopted" is the biggest shelter myth, what kennel life does to a dog, why black dogs and pit bull mixes wait longer, the 3-3-3 rule for new adopters, why microchipping matters, and the dog she'll never forget. Want to help your local shelter? Adopt, foster, volunteer, share. Microchip your pets and get them spayed or neutered. Merch that supports the mission: https://diego-the-pet-photographer.printif...
