Best viewed in 4K or 1440p (select them in the quality settings). At lower resolutions, you may notice horizontal artifacts during gameplay because of the highly detailed shader I use. Even if your monitor is limited to 1080p, selecting the 4K stream should still noticeably improve image quality. The downside is that preserving all that detail requires a fairly good internet connection. The Magic Shader used here is a modified version of the Newpixie shader. Even for vertical games, I personally prefer using it in horizontal mode — simply a visual choice. Vertical version will still be included when the 2,000+ bezel pack and shader are released. (Mame and Retroarch formats) Video capture and YouTube compression also degrade the image quality. The actual visual result will look significantly better when running the games directly. This is a solo project I started back in 2016 and have been working on in my spare time ever since. Thousands of hours have gone into searching for the best possible source material, cleaning and restoring images, rebuilding artwork, and sometimes starting all over again when a better source eventually turns up. Born in the 1970s, France, I spent part of my teenage years in every place I could find — often filled with cigarette smoke — that had arcade cabinets or pinball machines. I was fascinated by them. I could simply stand there and watch the screens unfold before my eyes, almost like tapestries painted by old masters being slowly unrolled in front of me. So when, many years later, emulation made it possible to easily play those games again, I set myself a challenge: to give each of them its own bezel, based whenever possible on the game's original promotional flyer — very often another little masterpiece in my eyes. The second goal of this channel is to bring many forgotten games back into the spotlight — including games that never even had the chance to be commercially released, such as prototypes, as well as titles produced in such limited numbers that no promotional flyer was ever made for them. You are, of course, fully permitted to laugh at my playing skills. There simply isn't enough time in one lifetime to master 2,000+ games.😄
