Think you need to drive the whole Ring Road to see the magic of Iceland? Think again!
In this video, I’m showing you exactly how to see the best of the country without living out of a suitcase.
We are basing ourselves in Reykjavík and heading out on 4 incredible day trips.
From the dramatic South Coast and the "Iceland in Miniature" Snæfellsnes Peninsula to the volcanic Reykjanes loop, the famous Golden Circle & the much forgotten about Reykjanes Peninsula, as well as a secret "Whales & Waterfalls" route where we actually saw whales from the beach!
📸 Get your phones ready: I’ve included full screenshot-ready itinerary lists for every single trip in this video to help you plan your own adventure.
📍 IN THIS VIDEO (The Itineraries):
Trip 1: The Volcanic Reykjanes Loop Exploring the bridge between continents, Sultun, and the Blue Lagoon area.
Trip 2: The Golden Circle (The Classic) We tick off the absolute must-sees: The tectonic rift at Thingvellir National Park, the exploding Geysir geothermal area, and the massive Gullfoss waterfall.
Trip 3: The Classic South Coast We visit the giants: Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, the Dyrhólaey lighthouse, and the black sands of Reynisfjara.
Trip 4: Snæfellsnes Peninsula Known as "Iceland in Miniature." We hit Kirkjufell (Game of Thrones mountain), Waterfalls, Arnarstapi, and more.
Bonus Trip: The Secret "Whales & Waterfalls" Loop A hidden gem morning trip! Hjálparfoss, Urriðafoss, and the magic moment we saw whales at Eyrarbakki Beach.
