Island of the Wind Dancers

Sitting on a cold rocky cliff, overlooking Bass Strait, buffeted by strong winds was a moment that comes along once in a lifetime. Marooned on Albatross Island, as part of a sea kayaking expedition to the Fleurieu Islands in far North west Tasmania, I witnessed moments that were etched into my mind for ever. So close to the magnificent, aloof Shy Albatross, that they sometimes stroked my camera lens with beaks. Dancing on strong wind currents to displaying a mastery of the air that pilots would die for. This is a reposting of those special moments with a reprocessing of the old old analogue video tapes to reduce noise and increase sharpness.
