Hexham Holiday Traffic Pain? - M1 Extension Hexham, Raymond Terrace Bypass Well Ahead of Schedule

Soon to be completed the M1 extension looks "well ahead" of its 2028 completion date. The John Renshaw Drive and New England Highway Northbound and Southbound bottleneck nightmares will soon be a thing of the past. With a few interchange connections and unsealed sections left to complete like around the Tomago industrial area and the new bridge across the Hunter River is going full speed ahead with both ends into the river now and only a few spans left to be put in place. Majority of surfacing is completed except for around the Tomago industrial area. Many road advisory signs for the new highway already have been erected in both directions and lighting around the interchange sections of the highway indicating that completion of this decade long awaited project is soon to be finished. Exciting stuff!!!. At a rough guess I would estimate sometime next year it should be finished. Weather permitting and if all goes well. Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed
