Caste Discrimination In Nepal.

Hi everyone, I’m Mahima Bhattarai. In this video, I am talking about caste-based discrimination that has been present in our country for generations. After hearing horrifying news about murder and rape based on caste, I deeply wanted to understand what caste is, why it exists, and how it has led to people believing that harming another human being can be justified because of caste. Everything I’ve shared is based on what I have learned from news articles available online. Please feel free to comment if you disagree with anything. I know there are many aspects I haven’t covered in this video, but I made it to learn and to raise awareness among people around me and anyone watching. Discrimination is wrong — it was never meant to divide us, let alone lead to violence. I consider myself fortunate to have been born into a family where I did not personally experience such cruelty. However, I will not stay silent or ignore what is happening in our society. It is important to speak up against it. I hope this video gives you some knowledge and perspective, and encourages you to reflect and stand together against any form of discrimination.
